The venue for the match between the national teams of Azerbaijan and Lithuania, scheduled for October 4, has been changed.
According to Offsideplus.az, although UEFA initially approved the match to be held in Ganja, further discussions between the parties, as well as a general assessment of the technical and logistical aspects of organising the match, led to the decision to hold the fixture in Baku.
The venue change has also been agreed upon with UEFA.
It is important to note that the change of venue is not related to Ganja city or the stadium's readiness to host the match.
We thank our fans in Ganja, who have shown great interest in our national team and are eagerly awaiting this match, for their understanding. Holding matches of our national teams in various cities and regions outside of Baku will remain one of the important priorities for AFFA in the future.
