The head coach of the Azerbaijan national football team, Aykhan Abbasov, revealed the details of his contract with AFFA on the "Offside" program.
Offsideplus.az reports that the 44-year-old specialist, who was a guest on the "Offside" program broadcast on Saglam Radio 93FM, said the following about his contract with the A national team:
"I am not worried about the details of my contract not being disclosed, there are those who are worried. I have a contract. There is also a term. I had a two-year contract with AFFA and our U-21 team. When we started negotiations for the main national team before the game against France, we talked in detail. The main goal was to compete in 4 games, to build the spirit and system in the team. We also wanted to win points, we needed them. But unfortunately, it was difficult, which was expected. If there are no problems, we are still at the helm of the national team. There will be a training camp in March, the Nations League games will come. We were thinking about our plans with the AFFA leadership until the Nations League. This is life, anything can happen. But today, tomorrow, we are talking every day, I hope there will be no problems."
