Following the goalless draw between Neftchi and Sabah in the seventh round of the Misli Premier League, the head coach of the "white-blacks", Yuri Vernidub, shared his thoughts.

The Ukrainian specialist expressed his satisfaction with the performance of both teams:

"I was pleased with the performance of both teams. We knew we were playing against the champions. We were up against a team that competes in the Champions League. Although they lost 0-4 to Manchester United, they displayed a determined game. We had more chances, but we couldn't take advantage of them.

"Sabah" had only conceded one goal in their last five matches. This shows that they have a solid defence. My players maintained their intensity. We didn't lose in one-on-one battles. Unfortunately, we didn't score. But that's football. Let's consider that we were playing against the reigning champions. I'm satisfied with this point.

Both teams had players returning from international duty. We had eight, and they had ten footballers. Sessi D'Almeida couldn't join the training. That's life. There's nothing to be afraid of. We're pleased that our players are playing for the national team. By the way, even if no one believes it, the Azerbaijan national team won and has a good chance of being at the top.

When asked whether he lost two points or gained one, Vernidub replied:

"I lost two points. I always want to win three points. It doesn't matter; I want to beat every team."

The head coach also shared his views on officiating:

"I don't want to comment on the refereeing. I can be emotional during the game, but I calm down afterwards. We shouldn't be thinking about that. The officiating was normal."
