The final Azerbaijani club to represent the country in the upcoming European competitions has been confirmed.

Offsideplus.az reports that Neftchi secured a spot in the UEFA Conference League after a hard-fought 2-1 away victory against Sabah in matchweek 32 of the Misli Premier League.

The hosts took an early lead at the Bank Respublika Arena when Aleksey Isayev scored in the 3rd minute. However, the visitors managed a comeback, with Andrey Shtogrin equalizing in the 9th minute and Ifeanyi Mathew netting the winner in the 70th minute. Sabah finished the match with ten men after Joy-Lance Mickels received a straight red card in the 84th minute.

With only one match remaining in the season, this victory lifts Neftchi to 56 points, mathematicaly securing their place in Europe. Meanwhile, Sabah, who had already clinched the league title, remain at the top of the table with 75 points.
