Neftchi captain Emin Mahmudov has achieved another major milestone in his career.

According to Offsideplus.az, the experienced midfielder scored his 70th goal for the club during the home match against Imishli (6-0) in the 25th round of the Misli Premier League.

According to the Professional Football League (PFL), Emin reached this landmark in his 281st appearance for the capital club since joining in 2017. The breakdown of his goals across different tournaments is as follows:

Premier League: 54 goals (229 matches)

Azerbaijan Cup: 7 goals (27 matches)

European Competitions: 9 goals (25 matches)

With this goal, Mahmudov has made history as the 10th player in the 89-year history of Neftchi to score 70 or more goals. He currently shares the 9th and 10th positions with Gurban Gurbanov, who has scored the same number of goals. The club's all-time leading scorer remains Samir Alakbarov with 142 goals.
