The recent inconsistent performance of Sumgayit has compelled the club's management to take serious measures.

Following the 2-3 defeat to Zira in the 19th round of the Misli Premier League, club president Riad Rafiyev had a very stern conversation with the players in the dressing room.

According to Offsideplus.az, head coach Sasa Ilic is expected to make changes to the squad for the match against Karvan-Yevlakh. Young players such as Nadir Orucov, Nihat Ahmadzadeh, Vusal Pashayev, Khayal Farzullayev, and Sanan Muradli are expected to be included in the starting lineup. This move is being interpreted as a message to the first-team players.
