Former Azerbaijani national team player Javid Imamverdiyev has changed clubs.

The footballer shared the news in a statement to Offsideplus.az.

He announced that he will now be playing for 'Zangazur,' a team competing in the Region League:

"I had no issues at Sheki City. My relationships with both the club management and the coach were good. I simply changed teams because the financial terms offered by Zangazur were better. I will spend this season there. For now, I have no plans to retire from my football career."

It should be noted that the 36-year-old forward joined 'Sheki City' last September. According to statistics released by the Professional Football League, Imamverdiyev is the all-time leading scorer of the Azerbaijan Second League with 65 goals.
