Arif Asadov, the former head coach of the Azerbaijan national team, shared his thoughts with Offsideplus.az ahead of today's match against Lithuania:

"Of course, our national team is currently in a difficult situation. The two points lost against Liechtenstein were completely unexpected. After the draw with Lithuania, everyone was hopeful that we would win the remaining three matches and secure the top spot in the group. However, that draw disrupted all plans. As I mentioned, it is very challenging. I believe that in such situations, the team must show its unity and demonstrate its strength. We believe that our team has the power to defeat Lithuania and is capable of doing so. God willing, we will win. I think our team will come out today with a completely different motivation. Perhaps after the draw in the away match against Lithuania, there was a bit of complacency in our team. But football does not forgive such things. Therefore, I think our team will be more motivated and eager to win today's match."

It is worth noting that the Azerbaijan-Lithuania match will kick off at 17:00.
