"Sabah" has qualified for the league stage of the Champions League, allowing their U-19 team to compete in the UEFA Youth League.

Cebrail Gambarov, who has been working at "Sabah" for a long time as an assistant coach for the U-19 and reserve teams, shared his thoughts on participating in the tournament with Offsideplus.az:

"Of course, this will be an important experience for us as an academy. Indeed, in the previous two seasons, we competed in the UEFA Youth League after winning the AFFA Youth League. Therefore, we have some experience in this regard. Now, since the main team has been promoted to the Champions League, we will compete. For the coaches and players, this will be a completely different experience."

The young coach also commented on facing teams like Manchester United, Borussia Dortmund, and Barcelona:

"We are looking at a minimum of six games ahead. We will be playing against very serious names. These three teams are contenders to win the UEFA Youth League. Let's admit that Azerbaijani youngsters rarely get the chance to play against such opponents since childhood. Compared to Europe, our young footballers do not have much international experience. In this regard, it will be a significant experience. Most of our players will be playing in this tournament for the first time. The coaching staff and some players have experience, but playing in the league stage is something else."
