"Slavia Prague" lost 2-0 to "Sabah" in the second round of the Champions League group stage.
According to Offsideplus.az, following the match, the guests' head coach Yindrix Trpišovski answered journalists' questions at the press conference.
"We made mistakes, especially in the first half. Despite the score being 0-0, we made errors. There are many reasons. We shouldn't have made mistakes. We conceded meaningless goals and couldn't score. I don't know why it didn't work out. Perhaps we played weakly in different positions. We faced pressure and lost possession. In the second half, the opponent applied pressure. The opponent outperformed us in the centre. My players have been quite disappointed. We put in our maximum effort," he stated.
The coach also compared the match to the one against "Lans":
"For some reason, we lost. We have weaknesses. I thought we would create chances to win. We didn't play very well. The opponent wanted to win. We need to play with our heads in the penalty area. Fixing something in the game depends on the individual skills of the players. We experienced what we experienced. I don't want to touch on many issues. Our chances of being favourites are low. We prepared well for the game against "Lans". I didn't see what I expected in this match."
Discussing the upcoming match against "Fenerbahçe", the head coach emphasised that his expectations were not met:
"Our expectations were not fulfilled. You can only respond to that game on the pitch. We will analyse a lot. There is little time left until the league match. We played poorly today."
