President Ilham Aliyev has signed a decree to provide financial support to Sabah Football Club.

According to Offsideplus.az, the decree allocates 5 million manat from the reserve fund of the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan in the 2026 state budget, in connection with the country's champion qualifying for the league stage of the UEFA Champions League.

The Ministry of Finance has been tasked with ensuring the funding specified in the first part of this decree, while the Cabinet of Ministers is responsible for addressing the issues arising from the decree.

It is noteworthy that Sabah secured their place in the league stage by defeating Israel's Hapoel (Beer-Sheva) club with an aggregate score of 6-4 in the play-off round of the Champions League.
