Ran Kojuk, the head coach of Hapoel Beer-Sheva, stated, "Getting this far is a significant achievement," during a press conference following the second leg of the UEFA Champions League playoff against Sabah.
The coach noted that the match was not easy: "It was not an easy game. Every match has its own difficulties. Luck played a role. Serious preparation is still needed going forward. Continuing training is essential."
In response to a question about any shortcomings in his team, Kojuk said, "I wouldn’t say there were shortcomings. These are all normal processes that occur in a game."
Discussing Mikel Viter's injury and goal incidents, the head coach emphasised that these are part of football: "These are normal occurrences. Injuries, red cards, and conceded goals are all part of the game."
Kojuk also spoke about his future plans: "Our team will continue to maintain its strength in the future. The result is not disappointing. However, we must not stop. We can also talk about the good moments. Getting this far is a significant achievement."
The head coach highly valued the team's progress to this stage: "Our management has been at a high level. I have trusted my players. We have reached this point. It is a difficult and responsible path. If we combine all our efforts, we can achieve even more success."
In response to a question about Zlatanovic's efforts in the game, he replied: "All players were working for the same result. We must do our best to stay in form."
Kojuk concluded by emphasising the importance of competition: "A winner cannot emerge without fighting. I have always said that my team and I will do our best. Even if we do not advance to the Champions League, we have achieved a good result."
