Former captain of the Aghdam club, Maksim Medvedev, made these remarks in a statement to Offsideplus.az.

Sharing his thoughts on the upcoming UEFA Champions League league phase (Round 7) match between Qarabag and Eintracht Frankfurt, he noted: “The team is capable of regaining its previous form in a short period and is already prepared for the crucial matches ahead. We have been reading reports in the media about a coaching change at Eintracht. However, such changes aren’t always immediately apparent on the pitch. On the contrary, when a new coach arrives, players often perform even better to prove themselves.”

Medvedev emphasized that Eintracht is a formidable opponent: “In terms of experience, Qarabag has plenty of it. Eintracht, too, is a constant presence in European competitions.

Overall, I would rate the chances at 50/50. Although we will be playing on our home turf, our team must work at their maximum level, present their best side, and execute their instructions precisely.

We need to be very careful because this is a match played at a completely different level. I hope Qarabag finishes the game with a positive result. We have enough potential to defeat Eintracht. I believe in the boys.”
