The new season of the Azerbaijan Basketball League kicked off today.

According to Offsideplus.az, the opening match featured last season's two finalists, Sabah and LANDAU Lions, going head-to-head.

The game took place at the Baku Sports Palace and started at 19:30. The match concluded with Sabah securing a victory with a score of 84-74.

It is noteworthy that the ABL will be held in a new format this season. The regular season will consist of three rounds with the participation of eight teams.
