The Azerbaijan Basketball Federation (ABF) has parted ways with Evren Alkaya, the head coach of the women's national team.

According to Offsideplus.az, the contract with the specialist was terminated by mutual agreement.

The Turkish coach, who has been with the organisation since 2022, has also led our U-16, U-18, and U-20 teams.

During this time, he has been at the helm for over 70 official FIBA matches.

Under E. Alkaya's leadership, our U-16 team won gold in the C division of the European Championship in 2023 and 2024, while the U-18 team secured a silver medal in 2024.
