On May 24-25, Azerbaijan will host the first ever 3x3 Basketball World Cup qualifiers.

Offsideplus.az reports that the Azerbaijani national teams, both men and women, will compete for a place in the main stage in the competition to be held at the See Breeze recreation center.

Our men's team will compete against Canada and Great Britain in Group B, and our women's basketball players will compete against Latvia and Egypt in Group B.

According to the regulations, the teams that finished in the first two places in the qualifiers will advance to the semifinals.

The winners of the semifinal pairs, as well as the teams that lost in the semifinals, will win the right to participate in the main stage of the World Cup (3 teams in total).

The World Cup matches will be held in Ulaanbaatar, the capital of Mongolia, on June 23-29.
