In Germany, Sweden, Canada, Australia, Russia, Turkey, and even in the far-flung United States, it is possible to meet Azerbaijani children who have dedicated their years to football.

One of them is Etibar Ibrahimov, Offsideplus.azreportsAs his football career was not successful, he quickly mastered the art of coaching at a young age and won the Pro category. The 42-year-old used to be an assistant coach at the U-15, U-16, U-17 and U-19 national teams, and a few years ago worked as an assistant to Nikolai Adam in the Indian U-17 national team. His last job was with Kapaz, where he was the head coach of the First Division in the 2018/19 season.

Etibar Ibrahimov has four sons, one of whom is ill. Serious health problems have increased the cost burden of the house by one-fifth. In addition to the elite in the country, you can barely support a family with the salary offered to coaches in other leagues. That is why the coach from Ganja went to the United States to earn a lot of money to support his family, as well as to raise his sick child. His intention was to play football there. However, the disruption of plans, followed by a pandemic, put our compatriot in a difficult situation.

Accepting the futility of returning to Azerbaijan, Ibrahimov decided to stay there from the fall of 2019. He has been in the United States for more than a year, in Washington. The driver works in one of the companies providing transportation and delivery services. He hopes to one day work in the field of football in the United States.
