Sport lawyer, Farid Haqverdiyev noted the following on the issue: "UEFA's letter to Qarabag is the first part of the case. It provides general information about penalties and fines. In the coming days, a more detailed and concluding letter will be sent. The club will be able to appeal within three days after the final result is sent to Qarabag. UEFA will announce its final position in the next 10-15 days. Penalties and fines are likely to be reduced, but may not change. If it does not change, Qarabag has the right to appeal to the Court of Arbitration for Sport. "

UEFA suspended the club's official for life and fined the club 100,000 euros (187,000 manat) for Nurlan Ibrahimov's statement on social media that "Armenian children, the elderly and women must also be killed."
