The decision was made by the Executive Committee of the International Olympic Committee (IOC), Offsideplus.az reports. 

The organization has canceled the award of Valentin Hristov, who won a bronze medal in weightlifting at the 2012 Olympic Games in London.

Thus, the Azerbaijani national weightlifting was deprived of the only Olympic medal it won. The number of medals of our country in London 2012 has decreased to 9. Our athletes have 2 gold, 2 silver and 5 bronze medals.
